11 Days to Christmas: Giving Matters
‘Tis the Season to Give. This time of the year is joyous for some and sad for others. Sometimes life changes affects and seems to impact most people during this time financially, emotionally, and physically. God gave us a gift that was priceless and immeasurable. Each of us has at least at in one point in our lives wanted that Special (I must have) gift. This season, I encourage you to give of something to impact someone who you may not normally touch. Maybe you spend the day and give the gift of time to a neighbor, elder, or the widow. This is also a great time to donate and volunteer for charities such as Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, Shelters, Feeding the Homeless and other outreach ministries in your area. Sometimes we get think everyone want money and gifts but the gift of your time and spending it with someone and showing that you care is also priceless and a great gift.
This year our six-year-old daughter is sharing and learning the importance of that Giving does Matters. She will be donating brand new toys to Toys for tots and she has made rainbow loom bracelets in her school’s color. These are being donated for the PTA to sell at her school to help families that need extra funds this Christmas Season.
I hope you are motivated to give outside of your gift list. Remember, Giving Matters!
